Software Evolution Week joins The Working Conference on Reverse Engineering (WCRE), the premier research conference on the theory and practice of recovering information from existing software and systems, with The European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering (CSMR), the premier European conference on the theory and practice of maintenance, reengineering and evolution of software systems.
The first joint meeting will promote discussion and interaction among researchers and practitioners about the development of maintainable systems, and the evolution, migration and reengineering of the existing ones. In addition explore innovative methods of extracting the many kinds of information that can be recovered from software, software engineering documents, and systems artifacts, and examines innovative ways of using this information in system renovation and program understanding.
The software evolution week 2014 will feature, workshops, technical research papers, early research achievements, industry papers, project reports, tool demonstrations, a doctoral symposium and (last but not least) keynotes from both inside and outside the community.
The conference will be held in Antwerp (Belgium) in the week of February 3-6 2014. The conference is supported by the Reengineering Forum (REF) and IEEE. All accepted contributions will be published in the official IEEE CSMR-WCRE 2014 conference proceedings and in the IEEE digital library. Authors of the best papers at IEEE CSMR-WCRE'2014 will be invited for a special section to submit extended, revised versions to the journal Information and Software Technology.
